transport

We organise transport to all home and away games. This includes providing seats on minibuses, co-ordinating cars and liaising with members re train travel so that members can travel together

Train

Co-ordinating train travel not only means members can travel together but also cheaper group fares can be bought and advice is given on best routes. Members buy their own tickets for this.

"An astonishing number of people despise Leeds United, or what Leeds United stand for. But this club was never made for them."."

We have a dedicated number for transport enquiries: 07512 043546. Steve will answer your questions and take your bookings on this number.

Transport is provided for all matches, where appropriate. With matches being changed frequently and the difficulty of attending midweek matches the number of people using the transport varies. This means logistically we need to know numbers in advance and we provide the most appropriate vehicles.

The vehicles offered are 9-seater or 17-seater minibuses. 9-seaters can be driven by anyone over 25 with a valid driving licence. They are not speed restricted which makes the long journeys quicker. 17 seaters can only be driven by people with a D1 licence and do make the journeys longer. We usually use 2 drivers for the 17-seater vehicles. We use 2 drivers for long distance evening matches.

We are actively seeking drivers for both types of vehicles.

"The most significant thing in football is the love the fans have. When we have something that gathers and unites people it's a privilege to be part of."."

By All Possible Means!

In some circumstances we hire cars, organise private transport or link up with other supporters’ groups. We have organised coach trips in the past but these are generally not time or cost effective for us.

Pick up points are kept to a minimum which requires members to travel to their chosen pick-up points. Members are helped and encouraged to share cars. Usually, the pick-up points and route are from Eastleigh on the M27/M3, and on the A34 between Winchester and Oxford then either the A43 or M69 to join the M1. The bus takes different routes depending on matches and traffic conditions.

We have a Transport Secretary, Steve Lunn, who organises transport and is the first point of contact for getting to matches.
