It is not always easy retaining an affinity with Leeds United when we are situated so far away from the club we all support. We at the Hampshire Whites are proud to say that we were the first Regional Members Branch to have Ken Bates as a special guest to a Q&A evening in Fareham. He attended along with our branch President Ian Baird, Peter Lorimer and the then Manager Kevin Blackwell. A four figure sum was raised and donated to the development of the Youth Players at Thorp Arch.

We also hosted 'An Evening with Gordon Strachan' which proved to be very enjoyable as well.

Other events included;

• Christmas Parties
• Barbecues
• Overnight Stays in Leeds
• WAGS (Wives & Girlfriends) Christmas Shopping
• Big Screen viewings of televised Leeds matches. (The play-off games were particularly memorable.)
• A Gentleman's Evening!
• Various informal get-togethers for a few beers!

Due to the lack of local football opposition for Leeds United, our Club orientated events have recently been few and far between, but this is something we hope to rectify shortly.
